According to my mother it’s no surprise I ended up being involved with music. One of her favorite memories she loves to share and embarrass me with is one of me is singing and dancing to Michael Jackson in a public bathroom when it came over the speakers. Moving on, I was born and raised in Southern California, I took the leap and moved to Nashville in 2002 to go to Belmont University. I studied Broadcast Communications and Music Business, graduating in 2004. My first “gig” in radio was for an internet radio station where I had the freedom and immense honor of playing and interviewing amazing Nashville bands and artists like Leigh Nash, Bang Bang Bang (now Cadillac Three), Sam & Ruby, and Jeremy Lister. In 2006 Lt. Dan brought me in as a part-time DJ & board operator. I hit the jackpot! I couldn’t have been more excited to become part of the Lightning 100 family and spent the next couple of years working for them until I moved to Africa. Though I gave up an incredible opportunity with Lightning, I never forgot how much I love the station, what it stands for, and the music it plays. Lucky for me, we kept in touch over the years and they brought me back this past summer. Music has always been the light of my life and I am so thankful to be able to be back playing the music I love for a station I truly believe in and represents what radio should be!
