Wells Adams is an on-air personality and afternoon drive host of Nashville’s independent radio, Lightning 100. Aside from entertaining his listeners on their daily afternoon commute, Wells also co-creates, produces, programs, and hosts a weekly local show called “the615”. "The615" focuses exclusively on Nashville bands and in between playing their music, Wells gives in depth knowledge of the tracks, the band, and other juicy bits of the local music that is found in Music City.
In 2010, Wells began co-hosting “Twitter Tuesday” and “Facebook Friday,” both request programs that rely heavily on social network interaction. To this day, these shows continue to be the two most popular programs on Lightning 100.
In 2008, Wells was a finalist for the A.I.R. (Achievement In Radio) Awards in the “Best New Talent” category. In 2011, Wells served as a contributing columnist for the music publication Brite Magazine that boasted a circulation that exceeded 20,000. Aside from being extremely comfortable near a microphone, Wells frequently jumps in front of a camera for exclusive backstage interviews, Bonnaroo correspondent videos, and the occasional impromptu goofy comedy bit.
Wells started in radio early. He hosted his first radio show in High School at KSPB Radio Stevenson in California. He continued his radio work throughout college at The University of Mississippi, where he graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. During his four years in college radio, Wells hosted every show from mornings to overnights while also serving as both Music and Program Director.
In his free time, Wells enjoys hunting, sports, traveling, playing his guitar and listening to live music.

I first met Caitlin Rose in 2010 backstage at Bonnaroo. Of course I had known of her for quite some time, but meeting her in person was a real treat. Here is the song she played for us in a media tour bus way back when.

The Avett Brothers have a fan in Mumford and Sons‘ Winston Marshall. The banjo player blogged in 2012 about his love of the band’s 2006 album Four Thieves Gone: The Robbinsville Sessions. The band reissued that album on vinyl back in November and now Marshall has shot a funny video to promote it.
