Bio:
Fred is a Nashville native and has been a local radio personality for over 30 years! He began his career in college radio, serving as both Program Director and Station Manager for Vanderbilt University's WRVU from 1975-1979. After nine years at Nashville's WKDF & WKDA radio, Fred joined Rebel 100 (Lightning 100's predecessor) in 1988. He left Nashville briefly for stints in Charlotte and Kansas City, where he also co-founded a "thirtysomething-like" national ad agency. Fred returned to both Nashville and Lightning 100 in the summer of 1992. He has hosted "Retro Lightning" since October 1993, and was named General Manager for the station in 1998.
