Bio:
Laurel Creech is the Director of Team Green and air talent on WRLT Lightning 100. She created Team Green in 1997 and continues to lead this environmental/ service organization. Team Green’s mission is to engage the community into the outdoors so that each individual will take that extra step to respect the outdoors and make personal changes in their lifestyles. Team Green’s goal is to involve all ability levels, ages, and economic backgrounds to include the largest cross-section of the community. Last month Team Green was awarded the Tennessee Wildlife Federation’s President’s Award for their conservation efforts in 2007. Laurel serves on many environmental boards including the Nashville Earth Day Festival, Tennessee Environmental Council, Cumberland River Compact, Cumberland Region Tomorrow, and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Music City Moves as well as advising the Mayor's Office and Metro Parks & Greenways on development projects and events. This past August Laurel was selected as the finalist for the Chamber of Commerce's Nashville Emerging Leader's award in community service and non-profit work. She is also a graduate of the Young Leader’s Council (YLC) and awarded the Metro Public Health Department 's Community Public Health Hero of the Year and Mike Curb's Achievement in Radio Award for Outstanding Community Service. Laurel establishes all event partnership and sponsorship opportunities for Team Green.
