(Show #978; aired on 07-28-2012)
1968…a year of turmoil in America and around the world. Musically, it was the beginning of Progressive Rock as an experimental psychedelic art form. With heavy influence out of the U.K., music selections became more drawn-out and creative. It was a turning point away from the standard three-minute Pop hit single. Today, we’ll delve into some of those compositions along with some of your favorite musical memories from 1968. Thanks for listening and sharing this post with your friends! — Fred
