We had a star-studded guest list for William Bell and his band, featuring John Leventhal at Lightning 100’s Nashville Sunday Night, live from 3rd and Lindsley on June 5th. William Bell is a legendary soul recording artist and songwriter who just returned to his Stax Records recording home. Stax released his new album, produced by Grammy award winner John Leventhal, “This Is Where I Live” on June 3rd. Guests that came to see Bell sing included T.Bone Burnett, Lucinda Williams, Audley Freed, Colin Linden, Jack Pearson and more. He closed out the show with a re-imagined version of the most covered song of all time, “Born Under A Bad Sign”, which Bell co-wrote with Booker T. Jones in 1967. Bell brought an energy and spirit that is unprecedented at his age of seventy-five years.
