I’m keeping the good vibes going with the QUEEN of good vibes herself, Mavis Staples. Since the song features Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, it’d be easy to ascribe the title of King of Good Vibes to Tweedy, but it seems that Bob Dylan beat him to the punch by proposing to Staples back in the 60s!
In a time when we’re separated by physical space, this song serves as a reminder that we’ll all connected by mutual experience. It’s fitting then that in these times of isolation, we have the pleasure of spinning collaboration between two of our longtime favorites at the station.
