Howdy folks, Jayson here with my DJ pick for this week. More brand new local jams, this time from The Roosevelts. Alt-rock/pop band The Roosevelts formed in Austin, TX, independently releasing an EP in 2013 and debut full length in 2016. After moving to Nashville, TN, constant touring and playing festivals like South by Southwest (SXSW), Basilica Block Party and Austin City Limits Festival, they kicked off 2017 with a 50 date US headlining tour. The fall of 2017 brought about some changes as their lead singer left to pursue other passions.
The addition of Mitchell Kilpatrick as their new singer prompted the band to write in a more contemporary pop/alternative direction. Check out their first single “Do You Want Me?” below and let us know what you think.
