The 2nd annual concert performance of “An East Nashville Christmas” features an all-star lineup of Nashville’s finest artists and musicians, re-imagining the acclaimed holiday album from the east side in a new and unique way. Dozens of local artists have donated their time and talents for this event and 100% of the proceeds benefit the homeless, via The National Health Care for the Homeless Council. Based in East Nashville, the NHCHC has been instrumental in positively changing people’s live on a national stage since the 1980’s and their work with Comic Relief. We hope you will join with all of us this holiday season to help spread a little Christmas cheer with those that need it the most.
The music and production on the album is very much in keeping with a classic Nashville vibe and sentimentality. It’s all there, everything you would expect to find on a great Nashville Christmas record like the great songs and songwriters, smooth as silk vocal harmonies, soaring pedal steel guitars, vintage tones, sleigh bells, half a dozen fiddlers, and a million tasty guitar licks from all the best Nashville Cats. What you won’t find is glitz, botox, shoe-polish, or auto-tune. We left all of that out in hopes of creating something real that will stand the test of time. The 18 new performances and 4 original songs written and recorded for this album accurately portray the tremendous wealth of diversity within the East Nashville community today. There are but a few natives among us, but everyone was thrilled to share their unique gift with their fellow neighbors, and the rest of the world too. Nashville is so fortunate to have this amazing pool of talented, thoughtful, and caring artists and musicians flocking to be a part of our great city and it’s rich musical heritage.
Everyone involved in this making this album and putting on this concert series, have already generously donated their time and talents to the project to get to this point. Now we really need your support to make this a reality. Please tell your friends and family about what we are doing here and share this page with your social networks. Call your favorite radio station, write your local newspaper, blog your facebook, tweet it into the cloud, please get involved, spread the love, and share the joy.
Together, we can make a real difference in the world in which we live.
Thank You and Merry Christmas
