Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit, comprised of sisters Johanna and Kiara Söderberg, stopped by the LC Studio the day after their packed out show at the Ryman. It was their first time ever performing at the Ryman and the sisters said it was “a dream come true to play there”. They performed the songs Silver Lining, the track you’ve been hearing on Lightning 100, and the title track to their new album Stay Gold in the studio.

Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes, who has been a big inspiration to the girls at an early age, produced their third album, Stay Gold, which was released back in June. “Hearing their music was like opening a door to all this folk and country music”, the girls said about Bright Eyes. They have also had the opportunity to work with Jack White, who they did a cover of his song Love Interruption during their show at the Ryman, and got to tour with him in Europe back in 2012.

Here are the videos of their live in studio performances of Silver Lining and Stay Gold.
