Nashville Food Scene

Chicken & Waffles from The Southern

Chicken & Waffles from The Southern

As a proud resident of Nashville, I boast to any and all who listen that Nashville is not only home to one of the greatest music scenes but also one of the most delicious collection of local eateries my palate has ever come across. However, it does take a marathon racing mentality to keep up with all of the new tastes coming to our city. This year alone we have seen places like Husk and The Southern come roaring into the scene causing Nashville residents to flock for reservations. Bringing you breakfast, lunch, and dinner nearly every day of the week The Southern is serving up anything your mouth may desire. Located in SoBro on 3rd Avenue South, The Southern is waiting for you to try its “authentic taste where culinary meets comfort.”

But don’t just take it from me, everyone is talking about this food scene! In a recent report we heard, “Bands and artists like Kings of Leon, Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys and even Taylor Swift have been talking up the city’s fine restaurants and neighborhood favorites in national publications.”  With festivals like Music City Eats created by the Followill brothers in Kings of Leon and The Southern Ground Music and Food Festival put on by Zac Brown musicians are certainly promoting the cuisine Nashville has to offer.

With an ever-growing list of options to get some grub in Nashville, its time to pick up your fork and set out on a delicious journey across the local favorites all over town. And if that isn’t enticing enough, while you’re out there just remember you may get seated next to the Kings of Leon, or (Like OMG) Taylor Swift.
