Feist will return with a new album called Metals on October 4th. It’s her first studio album since her 2007 breakthrough The Reminder. She once again worked with her long time collaborators Chilly Gonzales and Mocky.

Feist will hit the road this fall in support of her new album, Metals, which is due out October 4th. So far, the tour is set to run from November 4th in Chicago through November 17th in Seattle, but more shows will likely be announced in the next couple of weeks.
Feist says she had to take a break from music after the success of the Grammy-nominated 2007 album The Reminder. She tells Rolling Stone, “I just wanted to remember what it is to be still.” That break included catching up on a bunch of literary classics, including “every word that Steinbeck ever wrote.”
Feist says she feels good about her new album, Metals — due out October 4th — because “I had the advantage of enough time passing that I didn’t feel any psychic weight of responsibility to expectations.”
