RETRO LIGHTNING – 1977

(Show #964; aired on 06-30-2012)

.

1977 — a year full of musical struggles!  But “Disco” was clearly winning the battle.  Progressive Rock prevailed however, thanks to contributions from some great bands and artists from across The Big Pond.  As for me…I was having the time of my life as the music director of my college radio station at Vanderbilt.  As expected, our station’s goal was to side-step all the Disco puddles along the way.  So we countered that by playing a bunch of deeeeeep album tracks.  Here we go…….with 1977!  I thank you for listening.  — Fred
