The festival continues to emphasize sustainability practices and conservation initiatives, highlighted through the festival’s non-profit organization, the Forecastle Foundation.
We had several different ideas for a backstage performance with Cherub at Hangout Music Fest. After debating the logistics of a jet ski performance and finding out that they’ve already done a bathroom session in Mexico, we went with the hot tub idea. It was the end of the festival and everyone just wanted to do a little relaxing. After carrying around 30 pounds of gear up and down the beach all weekend, I was all for this idea. Cherub perform an acoustic performance of “Hold Me” right before The Flaming Lips were about to take the stage to perform Dark Side of the Moon.
“Hey bros, you want to get into the hot tub and play some music?”
