Songwriter and pianist Jillette Johnson brought soul to the 3rd & Lindsley stage May 20th for Nashville Sunday Night. Jillette began playing piano at age 5, songwriting at age 8, and playing shows at age 12. She also joined Parker Millsap on stage this past Sunday to perform “Come Back When You Can’t Stay” from his recent LP Other Arrangements. Jillette co wrote the track. Her most recent LP All I Ever See In You Is Me is a a beautiful blend of nuanced lyricism and shapeshifting vocals.
