When my younger brother and I were kids, we were walking around the block trick-or-treating in our small town. We went up on the porch of this house where a single woman lived whom we never saw out much. It was fairly dark out and she didn’t have her porch light on, but the inside lights were on and you could see inside through the storm door. As we were standing at the storm door waiting after knocking, a witch sitting in a chair on the porch a few feet away all of a sudden goes “BOO!” My brother and I nearly peed on ourselves and the next thing I knew I was nearly in the street. We had no idea the decorated witch in the corner was the owner of the house sitting there silently waiting to scare the kids that walked up to the door! I remember that moment so vividly and have never been so startled in my life!!

While I was working one night at a hospital in Florida, I had a patient ring her call light.. I went in to her room to see what was wrong and she asked me who the man was standing in the corner of the room… I said there was nobody there and what she was seeing was an IV Pole.. Not 30 seconds later, while I was still in her room chatting with her, her call light started going off again.. She was not even touching the remote for the call light.. Then the TV came on by itself and the channels started changing… She looked at me and said, see I told you there is a man in here.. She asked me who he was… I just said he was lost.. lol.. I had no idea what to say.. That whole night, we had weird things happen around that room…. I heard someone (who sounded like my co-worker) call my name while I was charting and I looked up only to find nobody around… Yep, we for sure had a special visitor that night…

I had borrowed someone’s ipod and plugged it into listen to some Nickel Creek. The ipod skipped over to Nickelback while I was in the shower. It was like the scene in Psycho!

When I was eleven my family and I lived in this cute little house in the suburbs. One night I was sleeping safe and sound when I heard and felt someone right next to my head say my name. It shocked me awake. I sat straight up and looked around to find no one in my room. I thought maybe my mom had come and tried to wake me up. I went to my parents’ room and they were asleep. I woke my mom up and asked her if she had called for me and she said she hadn’t. To this day I don’t know who or what that was. It still creeps me out to think about it. It wouldn’t have been so creepy but I felt someone’s breath on my ear!

Well, one night I was sleeping pretty sound and out of NOWHERE I heard and felt someone very close to my ear say my name. It woke me from a dead sleep. I sat straight up in my bed and looked around and there was no one there. I thought maybe my mom had come in and tried to wake me. I went to my parents’ bedroom and they were sound asleep. I woke up my mom and asked her if she had called me and she said she hadn’t. To this day I don’t know who or what that was. It wouldn’t be so creepy but I felt someone’s breath on my ear! I get chills just thinking about it!

My brother and I were alone in the house one night…I was probably about 12 or so and he’s two years younger. I think he was scared to go to his room down the dark hall by himself so I led the way. His fear kind of got me on edge myself. As we neared his room, we saw something that looked like dark smoke come out of our mom’s bedroom. It was a dark formless billowy mass and it seemed to quickly pour out of the dark room near the top of the door frame. We almost knocked each other down I think, trying to get out of there!

I don’t remember a whole lot from my childhood. In fact, I would say that what very little I do remember I remember very vividly. When I was about seven or eight I started getting this vivid flashback of when someone was taking a picture of my brother while he was in a car seat. While this picture was being taken I could see a claw coming around the edge of the seat as if it were getting ready to take the whole thing, including my brother. My brother is two years younger than me, so that would make him around five or six when I started to recall this memory. My brother started accusing me of trying to scare him. While growing up my family had numerous break ups with several people in our lives coming and going, which would explain why we could not find this picture that I claimed to remmber. A couple of years passed and my grandfather came to visit. He brought some photo albums with him and as he was showing my brother and I pictures we saw the picture with the claw that was about to grab him and my brother began acting hysterical. No one could explain to us what it was in the picture and my brother was determined that it was his demon. He said that it was an explanation for his inclination towards trouble making. He has always been in trouble and still is. Today, we are in our late twenties and he has been in and out of jail for several years. I am now convinced that my brother always has and always will have a demon with him.
