Jack White – “A Tip from You to Me”: Keith’s DJ Pick of the Week

Rev. Keith’s DJ pick this week is “A Tip from You to Me” by Jack White! Jack White, who now calls Nashville home, is a Detroit-born alternative/blues rock artist. White is a bit of a Jack-of-all trades, best known for being the frontman of The White Stripes.

“A Tip from You to Me” is the first track off of White’s July release “Entering Heaven Alive.” The track showcases White’s more acoustic side, but still has his signature melancholy rock vibe. Its lyrics are a desire for independence, and a need of some sort of escape from society. Jack White continues to push his own bounds as an artist. The album, “Entering Heaven Alive” is White’s second full length solo release this year. In April, he released “Fear the Dawn.” Both are Jack White’s return to his solo project.

He has a multitude of side projects, and tons of creativity to spare. White is currently on tour with The Paranoyds, Ichi-Bons and Cat Power revolving around as his openers.
