Lightning 100 is Nashville’s Independent Radio Station (WRLT 100.1 FM). Our mission is to serve as Nashville’s “lifestyle” station by connecting listeners with local artists, events, businesses, non-profits, and concerts. We are an employee-run company that is passionate about procuring great music while contributing to the health and sense of community among our listeners. Our Community Engagement Department consists of all outreach efforts by Lightning 100, including Lightning 100 Special Events, Promotions, and Lightning 100’s Team Green Adventures.

The Lightning 100 Special Events sub-department procures stand-alone promotional events for Lightning 100 such as Music City Mayhem, Festivus Charity Concert, block parties, secret shows and local artist showcases. Promotions is a function of the Lightning 100 Sales & Marketing Department that ensures proper execution of promotional events created by the Sales Team for the benefit of advertisers and the Programming Department to increase time spent listening. Lightning 100’s Team Green Adventures is a Community Engagement initiative of Lightning 100 that serves as an active-living and sustainability-centric calendar for our listeners.

The Community Engagement Director oversees all outreach efforts of Tuned In Broadcasting, supervises the coordinators for each sub-department, and ensures consistent brand management among all departments. A significant part of this role includes creating a systematic approach to charitable and sustainability initiatives across the entire company. The ideal candidate has a background in communications and marketing with strong ties to the non-profit community.

Pay Class & Schedule: Exempt (Salary) + Commission

8:30am – 5:30pm MTWRF (minimum)

Reporting Responsibilities: Reports to Director of Sales & Marketing
