G. Love visited the Lightning 100 studio 3/1/11 to talk about his recent release, Fixin’ to Die. G. Love talked about working with Scott and Seth Avett of The Avett Brothers, who produced the album and appear on several tracks. Garret Dutton, aka G. Love, said “I kind of look at it like a second chance to make a first record, ’cause this album is a record of material I was working on before I became G. Love. Before I started mixing hip hop and blues, I was a coffee shop singer and street musician.” G. Love sold out the Exit/In that night with opening local artist The Apache Relay.
