I know it’s gonna be a crazy week for all you mamas with Thanksgiving Thursday but if you are like me, come Saturday I am gonna need to get out of the house! Here are some fun things to do with the kiddos and out of town guests!

Puppet Show
Did you know that Nashville Public Library has been doing puppet shows since 1938? It’s an old Nashville tradition and if you haven’t checked it out yet, you are missing out! You can catch them weekly at the Downtown Library on most Tuesday and Wednesdays at 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am.
But this Friday and Saturday is a very special performance, String City is returning to Country Music Hall of Fame and it’s FREE! This is a 90-minute performance about the history of country music. There are over 90 puppets in this show and it’s an incredible show for kids and adults.

Lightning 100 Salutes
Did you know that Marathon Music Work is an ALL AGES venue? It’s the perfect place to teach your kids what good music is all about. Well, you already have them listening to Lightning 100, that’s step one, but step two is taking them to see live music. And this Friday is going to be an incredible show with Boy Named Banjo, Sean McConnell and Steelism. And if you haven’t invested in a pair of little kids headphones, it’s 100% time.

Black Friday – Disney Store
I know, I know – shopping with kids is almost impossible. But I know some of you are going to brave the tantrums and do some Black Friday shopping anyways. If you are out shopping then take some time and check out Magical Wishes happening at select Disney Stores every evening at 7pm, 11/2 – 12/24. This is an onscreen performance featuring Mikey and Minnie intended for families with kiddos 3+.

Green Door Gourmet Holiday Pop Up Shop
Green Door Gourmet is located in West Nashville not too far from the Nashville West Shopping center and is definitely worth checking out. They are a farm with the cutest store where you can purchase their produce and other locally made goods like elderberry syrup (if you and the kids aren’t taking this daily – read this now link: https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/elderberry) , kimchi, jams and so much more.
And this weekend they are having a FREE all-ages interactive holiday market. With over 30 local vendors, a photo booth with Santa, store discounts, giveaways plus for the kids there will be ornament decorating and caroling around the farm. (Seriously, they have some of the coolest chickens I have ever seen!)
