Hello! My name is Brittney Farrow, and I sell advertising and sponsorship for Lightning 100. While I love my job, my passion is spending time with my son Smith and exploring our amazing city of Nashville. Since I work full time, getting out isn’t always the easiest, but I do my best to take him around to explore our parks, partake in all the amazing kids’ activities and let him interact with other little humans. Before having a child, I had no idea Nashville had so much to offer for young children and parents! This is why I decided to start this blog. There is so much to see and experience with your little ones from free events, cultural events, events to discover the arts – it’s endless. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy! Follow me @TheMusicCityMama for more fun things to do!

FREE Admission to Lane Motor Museum (11/7-11/9 only!)
From Thursday, Nov. 7 to Saturday, Nov. 9 get FREE admission to The Lane Museum with a toy donation of at least $10! This annual fundraiser is for Toys for Tots, and if you can’t stay to play, they’ll give you an admission voucher though Dec. 31, 2020. For those of you who have never heard of Lane Motor Museum, you aren’t alone. I am a Middle Tennessee native, and it wasn’t until this summer that I got to experience it. It’s the craziest car collection I have ever seen. They have a loft area that overlooks the museum with a ton of car toys like ride-on toys, car tracks, books, train table and so much more. Hours: Thursday to Saturday: 10 a.m. – 5p.m.

Check out the Fall Leaves
This is suppose to be the peak fall leaves weekend, and this place is going to be beautiful! Grow Enrichment in Two Rivers Park has been my little secret all summer, but it’s time to share it with all the other mamas!  There is huge sandpit filled with toys overlooking a pond and an adorable nature trail made just for small children. It’s a little tricky to find the first time, but follow Google Map, and it will lead you to the parking lot. Then head up the paved walkway, and it’s right around the corner.

Restaurant Pick of the Week
We LOVE Pastaria Nashville.  The food is incredible, and they have Family Hour from 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday. Kids meals are 50% off! Plus, it’s happy hour with food and drinks specials for mom and dad. When dinner is over, there is a great little park in One City with plenty of room for the kids to run. And a rare find in Nashville these days, there is free parking in their garage.
