On this episode of Community Corner, Bill Fondren sits down with Nancy Denning-Martin, President and CEO of Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing emphasizes the importance of finding unity in life experiences. In a world that is not tailored to accommodate the deaf, this organization is taking action to provide opportunities so that everyone can share these experiences as equals. Bridges for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing is also the largest ASL interpreting service in Tennessee. Over 33,000 hours of interpreting were held in healthcare organizations, schools, and other events. The impact of this organization can be seen all throughout the state.
