Last night Wilder Woods hit the stage at Brooklyn Bowl. In 2019, Bear Rinehart introduced his project, Wilder Woods, separate from the successes of NEEDTOBREATHE. He is currently touring his latest neo-soul record, FEVER / SKY. The record emphasizes fresh starts, including fatherhood, his solo career, and rebranding himself as a bandleader with a broader scope. FEVER / SKY expands Wilder Woods’ cinematic style while paying tribute to the aspects he values the most. The album is a touching and individualistic collection of tracks that center on the journey itself rather than the destination, filled with heartland melodies, western vibes, southern soul, and anthems fit for festivals.
Working in conjunction with producer Cason Cooley, guitarist Tyler Burkum, and a select team of associates, FEVER/ SKY was born. Released in late March, the record overflows with the perspectives of a devoted family man and experienced traveler who has spent twenty years on tour, managing his creativity with his familial ties.
Wilder came by a few weeks back before heading out on the road to talk about the record and play an acoustic set. Be sure to check out the in-studio session and the photos from his homecoming show below!
