We were thrilled to have Armenian singer-songwriter Rosa Linn in the studio last week! The indie-pop artist stopped by to play two acoustic versions of her singles, “SNAP” and “WDIA (Would Do It Again).” Rosa shared pieces of her unique journey as she transitioned from writing songs in her bedroom to representing her country on the Euro Vision stage. After the competition concluded, “SNAP” went viral and charted globally, accumulating over five hundred million streams.
“I have so much more to give people,” she said, expressing her hope for the future. When acknowledging the pressures that followed the success of “SNAP,” she explained how her life has changed since the single’s release. “I feel so lucky to be able to write with people that wrote some of my favorite songs on the planet, I can’t believe it,” Rosa said, beaming. Currently, she almost explicitly devotes her time to making her debut record the best it can be.
Rosa Linn will play at Ascend Amphitheater with Young the Giant and Milky Chance on July 14th. Watch the interview and performance below to get to know Rosa Linn, and make sure to tune in to all of our upcoming in-studio performances on Volume.com!
