Our ONErpm Hitmaker Alert for this week goes to Sitting On Stacy’s sweet new single, “Crème Brûlée!”
Sitting On Stacy is an indie surf-rock explosion from Southern California consisting of Hoyt Yeatman, Kyle Hart, Diego Rodrigues, and Trevor Smith. Since 2013, they’ve been delivering feel-good tunes, electric live shows, and colorful visuals. Sitting On Stacy is on the rise, making a great name for themselves within the indie scene. Within the past couple of years, the band has snagged spots on the lineup at Chicago’s Riot Fest and Phoenix’s Zona Music Festival alongside artists such as Bleachers, My Chemical Romance, and Teagan and Sara. Currently, they’re on a fall tour with Mustard Service.
“Crème Brûlée” is all about finding someone who has all the sweetness & elegance you could ever ask for. What’s great about this song is that it has a little bit of everything. We’ve got a loud bass riff that introduces the song, Yeatman’s belty vocals, and some shakers to add playful percussion. You can tell there’s some influence from 60’s rock, specifically the Beach Boys, when it comes to the lyrics and overall brightness of the track. It’s perfect to share with someone who feels like the cherry on top of your world.
