This week for Stephanie’s DJ Pick of the Week, Lightning 100 presents “Dream Job” by Yard Act. This British breakout band brings together James Smith, Ryan Needham, Sam Shipstone, and Jay Russell. They formed in 2019 and are inspired by rock and punk genres. Yard Act released their debut album Overload just last year in January to international acclaim and reached number two on the UK albums chart. Following their popular debut album is their new single “Dream Job.”
“Dream Job” is a funky track that expresses how grateful they are to work in the music industry while also being critical of it. The song features Yard Act’s signature catchy lyrics and harmonized chanting that will have you singing the song on repeat.
