Frankenreiter began his artist career with his self-titled 2004 release Donavon Frankenreiter. Since then he has released 13 albums and 4 EP’s. He had originally been a pro surfer, joining the circuit at just age 16. His beach-infused sun and sand melodies have been surfing the radiowaves for 20 years now, with no signs of slowing down. Now at age 51, a new album is on the horizon.
The track is a soulful call to find meaning in love and to be yourself. The Folk-Americana profile is sneaky catchy and slides right into place like a Sunday night. The Organ and acoustic guitar stroll along in a lemonade-tinged classic chord progression reminiscent of a classic Motown or Stax tune. Frankenreiter is truly a master of the craft of a laid-back summer jam.
If this single is any preview of the upcoming album, Get Outta Your Mind is going to be a record to pick up and listen to for a cool, calm, soulful vibe this coming year.
