“Saturdays” by Spooky Mansion is our ONErpm Hitmaker of the week!

Spooky Mansion is the project of singer/songwriter Grayson Converse. Since 2016, Converse has been cultivating a bold blend of surf and psychedelic rock into the band’s trademark sound. Over the last few years, the band has been on the road, touring with acts such as Natalia LaFourcade, Cafe Tacuba, and The Moss. The group recently announced their upcoming album What About You?, which will feature twelve songs, including the singles “Weather” and “Saturdays”.

“Saturdays” is the ultimate chill rock romantic anthem. This song embodies the feeling of wrapping your arms around your favorite person on a sunny day. Converse reflected on the song: “I decided to write a song about spending time with the person I love. After getting married, it’s become clear that having someone to love is the most important thing. Saturday is the day we finally get to leave it all behind and focus on each other.” Warm guitar, lively percussion and piano, and Converse’s rich vocals melt into the perfect blend of weekend vibes. A reminder to savor the little moments with one another, Spooky Mansion declares, “Holding hands and making plans – it’s good enough for me”.

Be sure to add this one to your summer playlist and keep an eye out for Spooky Mansion’s upcoming album What About You?, set to release on Halloween this year. You can also catch Spooky Mansion in Seattle this November, playing at the twelfth annual Freakout Fest.
