This week’s Community Corner spotlight features Small World Yoga!

In this episode, Brother Love chats with Liz Veyhl, Founder and Executive Director of Small World Yoga as well as Bobby Frank, a local drummer, percussionist, and player of the “hand-pan”.

Liz Veyhl is a homegrown Nashvillian, with a heartfelt mission to bring the best of Yoga to Nashville in the most accessible ways possible. After returning from the Africa Yoga Project in Kenya in 2013, she decided to pursue her calling in growing a yoga outreach throughout the Nashville region. Over the past decade, Liz has been growing and leading the local yoga community in training hundreds of teachers and organizing major events such as Nashville’s International Day of Yoga and the Music City Yoga Festival.

Bobby Frank discussed his past in the drumming world and his eventual stumble upon a hand pan, a metal percussive instrument that is struck with a hand to create a tone. Frank fell in love with the synchronicity and soothing resonances that lie within this instrument. Liz and Bobby work together to bring a powerful and relaxing experience through the mixing of yoga and hand panning.

Small World Yoga strives to connect people and create community by increasing access to yoga. Through yoga, Liz aims to serve every person in the community with genuine relationships, facilitating growth. They believe yoga has the ability to grow and transform partakers through healing and connection in making a big world feel small. You can find out more about Liz and her mission through checking their website.
