Get to know Alyssa Bonargura

Alyssa Bonagura was born to make music and as she was born into a musical family (her mom and dad were RCA country music stars “Baillie And The Boys), she would get her start early. With her first television performance under her belt by age 3, a duet recorded with Kenny Rogers by age 10, and her first national tour (opening for Marty Stuart) by age 13, it soon became clear that Alyssa was the real deal.

After graduating high school, Alyssa attended Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts in the U.K, where she would earn a degree in Sound Technology, while also playing around at various venues throughout Europe. There, she shared the stage with names like Jason Mraz, The Who and Ringo Starr.

After her stint in England, Alyssa returned home to Nashville and secured a publishing deal with Rondor Music, Landed a nationwide Lowe’s commercial with her song “I Make My Own Sunshine,” and has since been a “go to” studio session singer / player for artists like Vince Gill, Matt Maher and Jo Dee Messina. While in Nashville, she writes with the likes of Jeffrey Steele, Hunter Hayes and JD Souther, some of the city’s biggest names, all while continuing to write and record her own music.
