A regular at 3rd & Lindsley, Jack Pearson’s performance was packed full of tasty jams. Having been a member of The Allman Brothers Band, Jack’s music contained a similar southern blues/rock sentiment consisting of plenty of musical improvisation and face-melting solos. The main difference between Pearson’s material and The Allman Bros, was how stripped back it all felt. Pearson’s band was comprised of himself (of course) as well as drums and organ, allowing for subtle instrumentation. Coming from such a jam oriented background, most of Pearson’s songs crescendoed into instrumentation that would practically force a double take. How only three guys could get such a full sound was simply mind boggling. Jack Pearson’s 50 plus years of experience is all there in his music and its something that simply needs to be experienced.
