Billy Burnette, formerly a member of Fleetwood Mac, showcased his rockabilly roots at Lightning 100’s Nashville Sunday night live from 3rd and Lindsley on October 3. Burnette, who has written songs for legendary artists such as Ray Charles and Eddy Raven, and has had original works recorded and performed by Jerry Lee Lewis, Gregg Allman, Roy Orbison, and Ringo Starr, engaged the crowd in an intimate, laid-back manner that made everyone feel as if they were a part of the band.
After performing several originals as well as a handful of covers, Burnette closed the show with an old-school rock n roll rendition of Johnny Burnette’s “Tear it Up” as popularized by Rod Stewart.
Nashville Sunday Night is a special presentation of Nashville’s Independent Radio, Lightning 100. Each Sunday night Lightning 100 broadcasts a concert from 3rd and Lindsley, one of Nashville’s finest live music venues.
