It’s Lani, and I’m featuring Yeah Yeah Yeah singer Karen O and producer Danger Mouse’s new track “Woman” as my DJ pick of the week. The track is the second single off the duo’s collaborative LP Lux Prima, out March 15 via BMG.
“‘Woman’ came like a bolt out of the blue when we were in the studio,” said Karen O in a press release. “I like to write songs that anyone can relate to but this one felt especially for the inner child in me that needed the bullies out there to know you don’t f**k with me. I’m a woman now and I’ll protect that inner girl in me from hell and high water.”
