Jayson’s DJ Pick of the Week

Five years later, and the Kentucky-bred rock band My Morning Jacket is finally ready to release part two of their album The Waterfall. The Waterfall II came out last Friday after the band had decided it was finally the right time to release the ten tracks they wrote over six years ago. Back in 2014, My Morning Jacket laid down over two dozen tracks, but decided to release them in two parts. With the way that our year has been going, vocalist Jim James revisited the rest of the songs from 2014, and found that they were perfectly suited for the current chaos.

The band only told their fans on social platforms that they were releasing Waterfall II three days beforehand.

Today, we’re featuring the fourth song “Feel You” on the ten track album. The six minute song takes you into a sort of psychedelic trance. The mix of the drums, bass, and James’ calming voice perfectly blend together to take you somewhere else for the whole song. The lyrics stop just after the fourth minute, and the last two minutes fade away with instrumentals. The audiovisual video stars Oregon’s famous Multnomah Falls with “Feel You” playing in the background. Check it out below!
