Growing up in the deep south, Williams used music as an outlet to get through dark times. Her inspirational story, at times heartbreaking, sends the message to never give up. After starting her music career in 1979, she’s persisted, even after suffering from a debilitating stroke in 2020 at the age of 67. Her knack for songwriting has stayed with her and she’s set to release her sixteenth studio album Stories of a Rock N Roll Heart.
Lucinda’s most recent single is an ode to her strength throughout her hardship. Her iconic voice is striking against the electric guitar and bold sound of the drums. The track sings with a driving message: finding power through music. She is able to reiterate a universal feeling, that music will always be there even when things get rough.
