Liza Anne’s latest songs feel like new-wave funk-pop that makes you want to get up and dance.
“Shania Twain Is Making Me Cry” is an intoxicating breakup song disguised by groovy instrumentation. Liza Anne’s ability to take up space in their songs is unmatched. They’ve sprinkled in electric guitar licks, prolonged bass notes, and catchy adlibs to add some extra magic to this track. This makes it ironic that some of the lyrics are as somber as, “Shaking you feels impossible, and missing you is palpable, and wanting you is undeniable.” If anyone can turn heartbreak into a fun time, it’s Liza.
