Joy Oladokun is a Nashville based singer-songwriter known for her passionate and authentic writing style. Her most recent album OBSERVATIONS FROM A CROWDED ROOM, is a raw narrative of the struggle to balance fame and day to day life. This project is takes a candid dive into Joy’s personal feelings towards who she is and the price you pay when you are an artist. This album, much like her new release, is a intimate glimpse into Joy’s mind that allows fans to meet her on a whole new level. Her current tour, “The Blackbird Tour”, is rounding up here in Nashville at The Ryman March 27th.
Joy’s latest release, “All My Time” is a warm tale of long distance and a hunger to be near someone who is far away. The song narrates the price paid when an artist follows their dreams and is far from who they love. “Every hour of the day, I wonder what you’re doing so far / Even when we’re miles away, my watch is set to wherever you are / Oh my mind’s always on you / You can have all my time too.”
“All My Time” is a reflection of the realities of a life on the road, far from those you love, but it is also a testament to the power this love has even when hundreds of miles apart.
