Last December, Brandi Carlile performed two songs off of her upcoming album, for the first time live, in the ONErpm Studios. The trio performed the unreleased opening track, “Every Time I Hear That Song”, and she followed with a solo performance of her single, “The Joke”. This exclusive performance was followed later that night by an intimate show at The Basement East alongside Anderson East and Brent Cobb – all of whom are on the same label run by critically-acclaimed producer, Dave Cobb. Carlile recorded the album in Nashville, with label-head Dave Cobb and producer Shooter Jennings.
