This week on Community Corner, we’re speaking with Robin Nobling, Executive Director at NAMI Davidson County. NAMI aims to eliminate stigma, educate the public, and advocate for issues relating to mental health.

Nobling joined us to talk about NAMIWalks, an event held annually at Bicentennial Park Mall next to the Farmer’s Market. NAMIWalks Greater Nashville serves as the organization’s primary fundraiser and the biggest awareness event. Starting at 8:30am, the event will feature a vendor village, live music, and even a pup-parade. Due to the outpour of support of last years event, the goal is to raise $125,000 and they hope to see around 1,000 attendees to celebrate mental wellness. Nashville and surrounding communities have an opportunity to share love and support through this event. At no cost, register for the event on-site and join the ongoing support for NAMIWalks or donate here. Help NAMI Davidson County fund free awareness, education, and support programs to promote mental well-being.

NAMI Davidson County provides connections to mental health services and free support groups. Find a time that is right for you on their website.
