On this week’s Community Corner, Brother Love sits down with Casey Sullivan from Smart Art and Craft Supplies. This organization is a discount art store that accepts donations from the community to resell. However, Smart Art is much more than a simple craft reseller. Its mission is to support adults with intellectual disabilities. This company provides a safe, accepting community, as well as job training for those who are, far too often, overlooked.

Furthermore, Smart Art and Craft Supplies’ mission is to provide every adult with autonomy and gainful employment. Sullivan emphasizes that everybody deserves independence, and Smart Art is one place where those with differences can find it.

Additionally, this store teaches classes in addition to selling supplies. These classes are available for booking on their website. This month, they have a plethora of fall themed projects priced at $25. The classes rotate depending on who volunteers and what they want to teach. Therefore, there is bound to be a class that piques your interest available now or in the near future!

To donate to Smart Art and Craft Supplies, feel free to box up old supplies and drop them off at the store, or call for a van pick-up for hard to move supplies. Please check out their website here to join the volunteers. To listen to the full episode of Community Corner click the link below.
