‘Ruby Amanfu & Friends’ benefit show for MusiCares sold out on Sunday night at 3rd and Lindsley and showcased some of the most talked about artists in the industry.

It was more than just an incredible line up and sparkly jackets that made this showcase, but rather the personal relationships that presented themselves when Ruby shared the stage with every artist in attendance. No matter who the duet was with, the raw friendships were felt even from across the room. Bringing several types of people together for a cause that was near and dear to everyone’s heart: MusiCares.

MusiCares is an organization that “provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need. MusiCares’ services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies.” Ruby Amanfu briefly spoke some heartfelt words in the middle of the show to share how MusiCares helped her in her time of need.

The 26 song set list included 12 duets with Amanfu, 12 solo performances and 1 group song. The line up included Ruby Amanfu with Lee Ann Womack, The Lone Bellow, Leon Bridges with Brittani Jessie, Steelism, Pat Sansone (Wilco/Autumn Defense), Carl Broemel (My Morning Jacket), Tom Blankenship (My Morning Jacket), Vanessa Carlton, John McCauley (Deer Tick, Middle Brother), Langhorne Slim, Sam Brooker, The Sisterhood, Katie Herzig, Butterfly Boucher, Sam Ashworth and Matt Pelham (The Features). Friends Chris and Morgane Stapleton could not attend the event but agreed to match all donations from the night.
