the-social-animals-by-brian-waters-photography-1Immediately after releasing their debut EP, “Formative Years” in August, The Social Animals went on to record a full-length EP with producer Steve Berlin. In a world filled with so much noise, an easy-going sound seems to be The Social Animal’s greatest strength. Dedric Clark, Tony Petersen, Roger Whittet, Boyd Smith overlay easy-going bass lines with relaxed melodies and crisp vocals that evince their honest passion for sound. Listen below to Ana Lee’s interview with The Social Animals in the ONErpm studio, accompanied by on-air acoustic performances of “Let Me Go” and “Cold” from “Formative Years”. Be sure to catch The Social Animals along with Sinclair, Heathen Sons, and Ian Ferguson tonight, October 6, 2016, for Lightning 100’s Thunderground at The Basement East.
