Hey Everyone, the @themusiccitymama here. I just want to say, we we have the most amazing city! There are things going on EVERY day of the week and most of them are FREE! Over the past few weeks, I have been able to check out some places that have been on our bucket list for a while and I wanted to share them with you!

The Discovery Center in Murfreesboro: This is totally worth the 35-minute drive from downtown! So worth it, I am considering purchasing the annual pass. This place has it all! A huge water activity area, a REAL firetruck (that Smith was obsessed with), tons of train activities, the cutest little ‘town’ for 5 and under kiddos, plus an archeology area. Admission is only $8 for everyone 2 and over.

Bilingual Storytime at Plaza Mariachi: This has been on our bucket list for months and I am so glad we finally went. It every Wednesday at 10:30am (and most Saturday mornings!) and this is FREE. The sweetest lady, Rachel Rodriguez, sings and reads in both Spanish and English. There were also plenty of coloring sheets and she had instruments for the kiddos to play with. AND! They have a coffee shop on-site that is open. YES PLEASE!

Azafrán Park: After story time, we headed down Nolensville to this park we have been eyeing for a while. This place is also incredible! The playground is designed for 2-5 year olds (which is hard to find!), plus they had this amazing ‘block’ structure for kids to climb on and a splash pad. This will definitely be a hang out of ours in the summer!

Molly Lou Melon is at the Library this week! The amazing Dolly Parton has done it again! Imagination Library has a special performance this week only at the Downtown Library. They gave us a sneak peak at Story Time earlier this week and it was adorable. The actors were great and really captured the kid’s attention. And of course, the library has the rock wall, cityscape play area and tons of other activities. Check it out!
