This week’s Frothy Monkey local artist of the week is the band A Tribe Of Horsman! Their tune “Stomp Song” is part of their debut album On The Way, which dropped in 2022.
A Tribe Of Horsman began when the founder of the band, Dhalton Horsman’s previous band broke up before a Nashville gig. Their lead guitar player, Teddy Nabozny, was the only member who stayed. Both are lead guitar players, adding a unique flavor to their sound. With the addition of Sam Daly and Ben Garner, the band’s blues rock sound was solidified. Daly also brought his graphic design skills to create their groovy and psychedelic merch and logo. After the band formed in 2021, they have kept themselves busy. Post release of On The Way, the band did a live recording of the album called Live At The 5 Spot. Since, they’ve continued expanding their influence with a tour and local shows.
The band’s song “Stomp Song” pays tribute to Horsman’s Native American roots while keeping a rebel rock quality. With striking vocals and an electric guitar part that makes you want to turn up the volume, this song is a definite head banger. You can catch A Tribe Of Horsman playing at Musician’s Corner in Centennial Park, Nashville, on Saturday, May 27 at 12 pm. Also playing are Amythyst Kiah, Tristen, Denitia, Alejandro Sierra.
