Pale Houses – The Ocean Bed

Local Artist of the Week Pale Houses create dynamic, dreamy indie pop. With sonic nods to artists from The Blue Nile to Cyndi Lauper to Bon Iver to American Music Club, the Nashville quartet wraps brooding lyrical portraits in shimmering guitars and synths. Such sound can be hear on their new single “The Ocean Bed” from their brand new EP Songs of the Isolation available everywhere now.

“I wrote and demoed ‘The Ocean Bed’ as a droning, mellow tune,” vocalist Aaron Robinson explains to The Prelude Press. “I like to think that the band picked up on the longing and tension in the words and transformed it into the pop anthem that it needed to become.”
