Parker Gispert of The Whigs recorded an interview with Dan Buckley in the ONErpm studio. Formed at the University of Georgia in Athens, The Whigs, comprised of guitarist Parker Gispert, bassist Timothy Deaux and drummer Julian Dorio, have been performing as independent-minded artists for the past 14 years. Gispert credits the Athens music community with being a source of inspiration for the band, citing R.E.M. and the bands of Elephant 6 alike. Since leaving Athens five years ago, The Whigs have certainly found another flourishing and supportive music community in Nashville.
