The newest single from The Foxies is here! “Talk To Me That Way” follows their previously released single “Call Me Later.” These two tracks have given an inside look into their newest era of the band.
The Nashville locals know exactly how to craft an indie-pop dream. What happens when a hopeless romantic is stuck in the endless cycle of modern dating? “Talk To Me That Way” is a critique on the current dating scene. The lyrics are poignant – “Haven’t I met you before// Versions of you I adore// Creature of habit, I’m sure// He’s not as bright as his smile, tells me he lives half a mile// haven’t heard that one in a while.” This bridge is something fans can connect to.
Vocalist Julia Lauren Bullock, guitarist Jake Ohlbaum, and drummer Rob Dodley have crafted another addictive indie rock track. It starts as a mellow song with soft guitar strumming. When the chorus comes in full swing, however, the musicality is able to soar. It’s slightly more pop than their previous releases, but still has the grit and rock influence they’re known for.
