Louisville natives (and Cosmo Kramer fans) Chandra and Leigh Watson stopped by the ONErpm studio to hang out and chat with Lt. Dan about all things Seinfeld and Nashville–from the Sushi Nazi to the warm embrace from the local music community since their move from Los Angeles in 2012.
The Watson Twins have been keeping busy on tour promoting their new album, DUO, which was released in October. DUO is their sixth studio album, and the first time they actually wrote together–embracing the power of two over one. The first song they performed live, “Rolling Thunder”, is off their new album and tells the story of being a songwriter in Nashville. It also describes the energy of this town which draws in artists and fosters a collaborative music community. Their second song, “Southern Manners” is a wistful ballad, soaring with folksy and effortless harmonies, recalling fond memories from their childhood–a true love letter to Kentucky.
The Watson Twins will be performing tonight at our Festivus celebration, along with Republican Hair and Dispatch. Be sure to come check them out and learn some “Hustle and Shake” moves in the Elaine dance-off!
Listen to these performances and the full interview with Lt. Dan below. (Other recommended listening is “Cry Baby” and “Hustle and Shake”)
