We discovered local artist of the week Veux through our Music City Mayhem competition. The trio consists of brothers Aaron and Dominick Wagner and long-time friend Andrew Black. The ’80s-inspired pop track “Wander” is the band’s latest single, and you can hear it below and all week long Lightning 100.
The band’s name “veux,” French for “commoner,” is a nod to the the member’s humble beginnings. Aaron Wagner explains the inspiration for the name, “When we look back on our lives as old men, I want to be able to say that we were true to ourselves. We spent years being paralyzed by fear and perfectionism, and we are finally in a place as a band and as a family to create honest art and let the chips fall where they may.”
