Recording artist Wendy Moten’s musical career took off in 1994 with her hit song, “Come In Out Of The Rain,” and has been growing and changing ever since. After a time as a solo artist, she toured as a background singer with Julio Iglesias, Martina McBride, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, among many others. In 2016, she began touring with Vince Gill and subsequently started filling in for him with the prestigious Time Jumpers, with whom she sings the classic country songs she’s loved since she was a kid watching Hee Haw.
Wendy joins us to talk about how she went from singing jingles to a record deal with EMI; life as a background singer for a myriad of iconic acts; her unique mixture of pop, R&B, and country music; and her newest project, an album of classic country covers produced by Vince Gill.
